About Section 1
Section One begins on the right side of Woods Edge Drive and is composed of most of the area on the right between Woods Edge Drive and Holmes Rd., from Mimosa Lane to almost FM 359. It contains 194.129 acres and includes lots 1 through 90. Section One’s first Deed Restrictions were dated March 30, 1979 and filed April 10, 1979 with three members: Dr. Ken Parr (President), John Leatherwood (still lives in our area), and J. E. Baltuskonis. Effective April 1, 1981 the Appointment of Neighborhood Committee documents were filed. In the Field Notes of the restrictions, Woods Edge Drive, Mimosa Lane, Mimosa Circle, Silverbelle, and Bridal Wreath were proposed streets.
In August of 1989 the Amended Declaration of Restrictions of Woods Edge Section One were filed. Paragraph 23 of the original Deed Restrictions was amended, as one lot was in two sections. It was decided that the lot would fall under Section Two’s restrictions. The First Amended and Restated Woods Edge Section One Deed Restrictions dated October 15, 2005 were filed November 7, 2006. The Bylaws for Section One are dated Jan. 17, 2011 and were filed Jan. 31, 2018. The current governing documents can be found on the Section 1 Documents page.
